Food and Drink
Food and drink will be available on site. Please note food and drink purchased from outside the premises will not be allowed to be consumed within the building.

Parking
On weekends there are parking spaces outside the venue and just across from it. There is also parking in front of the warehouse next door.

ARMY SELECTION AND LIST SUBMISSION
All armies must be no more than 2000pts using the most up to date rules and point costs.
The cut off for new rules will be detailed in the top of this pack, so no rules published after this date will be in effect for the tournament.
Lists should be submitted via the Best Coast Pairing App by the submission date again detailed above. Please make sure you upload your list before the deadline. If you are struggling to do so on the app you can send your list to darkfirecafe@gmail.com (stating your name and the event name in the email title) before the deadline and I will upload it for you.
Please use the new 40k App to format your list for submission on BCP and upload as text not screenshots. Make sure to include your enhancement and detachment type. Please disable updates on your app on the rules cut off deadline to ensure you are using the correct version of your rules.

-
Legends units cannot not be used

Any missing enhancements that are chosen pregame will be considered lost. Any illegal units (legends or units with incorrect load outs for example) will be removed from play and cannot be replaced.

Please double check your list before posting, as changes will not be allowed after the submission date. This includes changing weapon profiles even though the unit cost remains the same.

PAINTING STANDARDS
Including conversions and proxies
Your army does NOT need to be painted to participate in this event. Painting points will not be included in this event so there is no disadvantage in bringing unpainted models.

Conversions, Proxies and older models are allowed, but must meet the following criteria
-
Use the correct base size for the most current version of that unit. The current version is whatever is supplied in the latest box for that unit.
-
Must share similar dimensions to the original model.
-
Not give any advantage over using the original unit model
-
Must be within the spirit of the army the unit is part of
Any models reported to the TO and found not to meet the above standards will be removed from play and that players list will be corrected. Players will be given the opportunity to get their models up to standard if time allows between games.
PAIRINGS AND SCORE TRACKING
We will be using the Best Coast Pairings app to pair players and track final scores. Having the app is not essential but will make the day run smoother if it is being used by the majority of players to check their table numbers and submit results.

Pairings for round 1 will be random, with rounds 2 and 3 pairings being based on Number of Wins -> Battle Points - > Strength of Schedule

If there is an odd number of players leading to someone lacking an opponent, a bye score will be awarded. This will be in the form of a 60 point win. However a ringer player (either a Judge, TO or local volunteer if available) will then be matched with that player who will then play and gain an opportunity to score higher. If they lose their game, the 60 point win will stand. If they win then their winning score will count towards the next round.

During the games it is up to players to keep track of their scores. We advise both players do so to ensure the most accurate scoring.

Please remember that scores for games will be out of 90 not 100, as the painting score has been removed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
-
Your army
-
All relevant official rules documents for you to play your army and the missions set out (digital versions are fine )
-
Dice, a tape measure and objective markers
-
This player pack (digital is fine)
-
A tray to move your army between tables
-
A water Bottle.
-
A copy of your list to show your opponent should they not have access to the BCP app
TIME KEEPING
With there being a lot of newer players there is increased chance that not all games will complete at 5 rounds.

To ensure that each player completes the same amount of rounds, there will be a 1 hour remaining call during each game. Upon hearing this game both players must agree where the game will end.

For example if they are finishing a round when the 1 hour call is made, then they may agree to play another round. If they are starting a new round when the call is made then they will most likely agree to finish with that round. if they are half way through a round (one player has had their turn and the other is just about too/has started then an agreement will have to be made. Please call a TO for assistance if you're having trouble deciding.
RULES AND CONDUCT
Please try to resolve any rules you are unsure of with your opponent. We advise checking the published rules whenever there is a need for clarification. If this does not resolve the issue, please call for a Tournament Organiser (TO). If you call over one of our team their resolution of the matter will be final
We will be adhering to the ITC code of conduct found here as well as our own Players Social Contract found here.

We will be using yellow and red cards at our event.

Red cards come with with an exclusion period in which that player cannot participate in any further events until that period has ended.
